An Electronic Shelf Label (ESL) is a replacement for the standard paper price tag with an electronic one. ESL uses an e-ink display (the same technology used for Kindle display) enhancing the customer's visual experience. It doesn't require any wires & is updated instantly throughout the store via the network infrastructure. Each tag has its own unique code that allows wireless updating from the server in the store or centralized server in the cloud.
